Optimizing Sourcing and Supplier Relationships in a Tariff-Risk Landscape

February 20, 2025

1:00 PM

In this webinar, global trade expert Tom Cook provides a comprehensive overview of strategic sourcing and supplier management within the evolving context of tariff mitigation.

Navigating Strategic Sourcing in Tariff Uncertainty

In recent supply chain history, tariffs and tariff mitigation have rarely played such a prominent role in strategic sourcing and supplier management. Yet, as we enter the early days of a second Trump administration, few supply chain conversations can avoid the topic of potential new import duties. In this webinar, global trade expert Tom Cook provides a comprehensive overview of strategic sourcing and supplier management within the evolving context of tariff mitigation.

Tom introduces a landed-cost approach that ensures sourcing decisions focus on more than just chasing low costs. He explores how nearshoring, free trade agreements, and freight logistics should influence sourcing strategies. With his extensive experience in supplier management, Tom discusses key practices for better decision-making, negotiation, and transforming suppliers into true partners to strengthen risk-avoidance strategies. Throughout the session, the ongoing theme of tariff exposure and mitigation will guide you in developing "no-surprise" programs for your organization.
